Crystal River Preserve State Park: Seven Mile Loop
This regularly maintained trail is at the end of State Park Road where it dog legs left and becomes N Sailboat Avenue. Look for the dirt road. It leads you to the trailhead. The trail moves through Pine flat woods into mixed coastal marsh. It then turns inland toward a freshwater woodland marsh and eventually transitions into hardwood hammock. Benches are located at every mile marker. Take water with you. No facilities. Trail can be muddy in spots after a heavy rain. Best in the cool weather months since biting flies become a problem in summer. The trail loops back around to a point about .75 miles from the trailhead.
