Withlacoochee State Trail

This 46-mile conversion of an old CSX rail line stretches through three Florida counties and is considered one of the best rails-to-trails conversions in the United States. It’s the longest paved trail in Florida and provides cyclists, walkers and equestrians a rich mixture of forest, lakes and towns as it passes through Hernando, Inverness and Floral City. The trail has bathrooms and drinking water at major trailheads spread out every 7 to 10 miles.
