Cooter Pond Park

Cooter Pond is named for the Florida Cooter Pond Turtles that are abundant in this scenic City of Inverness Park with an amazing network of boardwalks that take you right over the water. Below Limpkins feast on apple snails and Gallinules fledge their young. The foot path that leads around the pond to the Withacoochee State Trail and Lake Henderson is full of suprises for the attentive birder.
